Operation Encouragement
Yazoo City Ministerial Association
Parkview Church of God is partnering with the Yazoo Ministerial Association in launching Operation Encouragement — a multi-church effort to provide encouragement to our health care workers and first responders at Baptist Medical Center Yazoo!
What is Operation Encouragement?
A way to encourage Yazoo’s healthcare workers, first responders and essential personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
How does Operation Encouragement work?
Area churches, civic groups and others are partnered together to provide prepackaged drinks and snacks, notes of encouragement and a day devoted to prayer each week to selected organizations and their staff (I.e. Baptist Medical Center Yazoo).
What is the status of Operation Encouragement?
To date, eight area churches are committed to provide Baptist Medical Center Yazoo with the encouragement mentioned above for the month of April 2020.
Is there a plan for Operation Encouragement to expand?
Yes, as soon as churches, civic groups and others volunteer their services, they will be assigned to other front-line organizations needing encouragement including the staffs of area health and medical clinics, nursing homes, fire department, police department and sheriff’s department.
Why Operation Encouragement?
The Yazoo City Ministerial Association feels a deep desire to carry out the mandate of scripture: “But encourage one another daily.” Hebrews 3:13
